• Be specific with the criteria that you have for choosing who influences you; don’t put anyone on a pedestal.
• Make sure the people that you allow to influence your life have values that line up with your own.
• Learn to control the things in your life that you can control, and let the rest fall into place as it will.
• Become a positive influence by putting people first and leaving people better off than when they met you.
